ICTC 2026 International Coating Technology Conference
The 2026 International Coating Technology Conference (ICTC 2026) took place in Suzhou, China from July 27 to 29. Hosted by the China Academy of Printing Technology and approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, the event drew industry professionals under the theme “Building quality foundations, uniting the full chain, and achieving high-end breakthroughs.” More than 30 technical sessions covered coating equipment, processes, and their latest applications in new energy, optoelectronics, and semiconductors.

As a co‑organiser, LEMON Photonics brought its QuantaHeat laser heating solution to the main forum, delivered a featured talk at the new energy functional film materials sub‑forum, and received the “2026 Coating Technology Innovation Achievement” award. Through joint platform development, technical exchange, and industry recognition, the company is using laser heating as a lever to push coating technology toward greater efficiency, intelligence, and sustainability.

Senior R&D Director at LEMON Photonics, presented “Laser Heating Solutions for Precision Coating of Battery and Functional Films.” Her talk showed how laser drying rethinks the process from first principles – offering precise temperature control, dramatic efficiency gains, shorter production lines, and lower energy consumption compared to hot‑air or infrared methods. The presentation sparked a lively Q&A session, and many technical experts from lithium‑battery and coating fields later visited the LEMON Photonics booth to dive into material matching, uniformity control, and integration timelines.

At the booth, the QuantaHeat laser series demonstrated adjustable power densities from 10 to 1000 W/cm², boosting quality and yield in battery manufacturing, perovskite coating, thin‑film drying, Micro‑LED soldering, and large‑area sheet drying. Core advantages include precision, safety, and energy savings. In real‑world production, customers have cut energy use by 50% and increased throughput by 3 to 12 times – delivering significant operational cost savings and productivity leaps. QuantaHeat systems have already been exported to Europe and the US and are now in full production at multiple top‑tier customers, serving as benchmark cases for digital transformation in the lithium‑ion industry.


The company’s independently developed film‑coating laser drying system was recognized by the organising committee with a “2026 Coating Technology Innovation Achievement” award – a validation of both QuantaHeat’s technical edge and the broader value of laser heating as a novel drying path for coating applications.
