02 LEMON Photonics made a stunning appearance
LEMON Photonics, a high-tech enterprise dedicated to the research and development of high-end electro-optical devices, modules and systems, showcased its full-stack optical chip technology at this exhibition.
The company showcased its independently developed next-generation semiconductor laser chips, which feature higher performance, stronger reliability and lower manufacturing costs compared to traditional products in multiple application scenarios.
These chips have been widely applied in fields such as 5G optical communication, 3D sensing, AR/VR, robotics, lidar, intelligent manufacturing, data centers, and medical aesthetics.
The product line
LEMON Photonics' product line covers three major types of core components: vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSEL), horizontal cavity surface emitting lasers (HCSEL), and edge-emitting lasers (EEL).
The company has also expanded into laser modules, heating modules and system-level solutions. Relying on its core technologies, LEMON Photonics is actively promoting breakthroughs in upstream laser technologies, facilitating the implementation of more optical applications in large-scale scenarios, and driving the development of the entire optical chip industry chain.
04 has obvious technical advantages
The HCSEL chip independently developed by Lemon Photonics combines the advantages of VCSEL and EEL and performs outstandingly in lidar applications. The 905nm VCSEL chip developed by the company achieves a peak power of 120W through a multi-junction and multi-zone design, with an electro-optical conversion efficiency close to 50% and a lifespan exceeding 3,000 hours, demonstrating LEMON Photonics' technological strength in international competition.
The industrialization process is accelerating
On January 8, 2025, LEMON Photonics' semiconductor laser chip manufacturing project was officially signed and settled in the North High-tech Zone of Nantong, Jiangsu Province. This project focuses on the research and development and sales of the new generation of laser chips and modules, and will be implemented in phases.
The total investment for the first phase is approximately 100 million yuan, and it is expected to achieve a cumulative sales volume of 340 million yuan within five years. The planned land area for the second phase is 25 mu. It is planned to build 30,000 square meters of factory buildings and office facilities. After full production, it is expected to achieve an annual sales volume of 400 million yuan.
06. Strong scientific research capabilities
The core members of LEMON Photonics mostly come from top international laser companies. They have led the research and development and mass production of core products and possess rich technical accumulation and management experience. Xiao Yan, the founder and CEO of the company, holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He once worked at Lumentum, an international optical chip giant.
By 2025, the company had 99 patent records, 11 trademarks and 7 Copyrights, and was awarded titles such as provincial specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative enterprise and innovative small and medium-sized enterprise.
07 has broad application prospects
The technology of Lemon Photonics has broad application prospects in the field of intelligent sensing. Compared with traditional sensors, intelligent sensors based on Lemon Photonics' full-stack optical chip technology have higher accuracy and lower energy consumption.
This technology will bring revolutionary changes to the intelligent sensing industry and provide customers with more efficient and accurate solutions.
